Girls room Koosje

When you buy a new house, all the possibilities for your new interior are completely open again. From kitchen to floor and from paint colours to wallpaper.. You can choose everything again! Sara, her boyfriend Niels and daughter Koosje moved not so long ago from a new-build house to a 1970s house. They decided to do a lot of renovations and thus created a beautiful spacious and light house that completely suits all their living wishes. And in such a nice home, a nice room for daughter Koosje cannot be missing.

Children's room with vintage items

With a Mini Advice as a helping hand, Sara (Instagram: @sara.anne.nl ) creates a beautiful girls' room for her daughter, full of vintage items and with a base of soft colors. Which also fits seamlessly with the rest of their new dream interior!

Sara already had the basis of her girl's room partly in mind when she came to me for a Mini Advice. "I never decorate very quickly, it really goes step by step. I start by getting inspiration, collect furniture and accessories and bit by bit a decoration takes shape in that way. But when we moved to our new house I wanted to have one room completely nice right away: Koosje's children's room."

Layout of children's room

The layout of the room in particular was a puzzle for Sara. “The layout was quite difficult. With a large window and a balcony door, you are quite limited in the possibilities. I also wanted to use wallpaper in the room, but on which wall or walls do you do this? I noticed that I was stuck on several points of the design and decided to cut all the knots together with Elina during a Mini Advice. I am good at choosing materials, colours and atmosphere, but to turn this into a concrete plan, this advice was very useful!”

After the advice, Sara got to work with all the styling tips and the end result is a beautiful, quiet and sweet room for Koosje. Full of vintage treasures, powder shades and personal items.

Are you curious about the rest of this cute room? You can find a complete inside look in edition #2 of Tuk Magazine! And besides Koosje's room, the magazine is chock full of many more baby room and children's room ideas.
