Boys nursery Sidney

A while ago I got a message from Ozzira. And what a message, because she told me she was expecting her first child, so nice! One of the most special and fun projects during your pregnancy is decorating the nursery. Ozzira wanted nothing more than to create an atmospheric, warm and cozy nursery for their little man. Despite all the nursery inspiration and fun ideas she had collected, Ozzira just couldn't manage to finish the room completely. That's why she decided to ask for my help.

Baby room styling

Ozzira had already gone shopping for nursery furniture and had succeeded in finding a beautiful wardrobe and dresser from the brand Quax. The Sebra crib was also on her wish list, in the wood-look colour that matches the wood in the other furniture. A very good and sustainable choice, because this beautiful bed can be extended into a toddler bed! One of the walls was also painted in a grey-green shade. But despite all the nursery inspiration and fun ideas, Ozzira got stuck at this point.

Wallpaper and paint colors for baby room

The dark color of the wardrobe and dresser required a bit more support in the back. We solved this by giving all the walls in the room a nice beige shade. This shade creates a connection, without making the room too dark. Because a nice wallpaper on the wall also does a lot for the atmosphere in a baby room and children's room, I recommended the 'Ours' wallpaper from Roomblush. Ozzira herself already made sustainable choices by choosing a large closet and a growing bed. The bear wallpaper can easily grow with your child until he or she is a toddler or even a preschooler. With a few small adjustments, this room will last for a long time!

In this room you can see that the accessories match the neutral base in terms of shades. As a result, none of them demand a lot of attention, which creates peace in this nursery. All accessories add something, but nothing screams for attention.

When decorating a children's room, you don't need a huge amount of accessories. This room proves that with the right choices, you can apply a minimalist styling, also in a room for children.
