Annemarie's nursery
Are you planning to decorate a nursery to welcome your child? Or is it time for a new toddler room, teenager room or a small restyling? Then it can be quite a challenge to make the right choices, despite all the great inspiration you have found. Whatever your plan, you want your child to have their own personal place to play, grow and relax.
Mini Advice for your child's room
There you are, in the nursery or children's room of your son or daughter. You are already fantasizing about the interior design with great enthusiasm, because you really enjoy doing this! You have already gained a lot of inspiration, perhaps even chosen paint colors, furniture and accessories. It is even possible that you have already started decorating the room. And yet.. the room just does not become the warm, cozy place you had in mind. What a shame! Because you want so much to create that nice place for your child that makes you happy every day.
With the Mini Advice I will help you further where you get stuck. But how exactly does that work, such a Mini Advice? I will gladly tell you more about it and I will share a room of Annemarie with you, which is furnished after a Mini Advice.
Neutral colours in your child's room
Annemarie was about to decorate a beautiful children's room when I came into contact with her via Instagram. Together with Annemarie I planned a Mini Advice and I was allowed to think along with her to make one whole from her inspiration. Annemarie already had the basis of the room in her head: it had to be very natural. A style that fits perfectly with the interior of the rest of the house.
As a start of the Mini Advice, we looked at the layout of the room together. This was quickly decided due to the small space. Annemarie already had a wooden bed and a vintage dresser, but everything was still open in terms of accessories. The paint colours for the room had not yet been determined either. An ideal moment to sit down together for a Mini Advice and to think of the basis for the room!
Paint colors and accessories for children's rooms
The high room has dark wooden beams in the ceiling, which gives the room a lot of atmosphere. We have let the dark color of the wood come back in the accessories. The wall shelf above the dresser is from Woodchuck and Annemarie stained it in a dark color. The contrast is also in the bed canopy, the apple basket and the wicker trolley. When you choose a very natural color palette in a room, look for some 'tension' in the use of materials. This room is, despite the addition of dark accessories, still light, fresh and natural.
During the Mini Advice, I will create a collage of products and colours together with you. This way, we can be sure that everything we choose together will form a beautiful whole in the room. I always enjoy taking your wishes and ideas for the children's room as a starting point and giving you the right advice for layout, paint colours, wallpaper, furniture or accessories. This way, a unique and personal room is created every time!
Do you also want to get started with decorating your children's room, but are you stuck in your inspiration and ideas? Or would you like to look at your plans together with me?
