Girls room floral wallpaper

If there is one thing that adds a huge dose of atmosphere to your child's room, it is wallpaper. Wallpaper is available in an endless number of fun prints and colours and gives that little bit of extra atmosphere and style to a baby room or child's room. I often choose to wallpaper one wall and paint the other walls. By coordinating paint colours and wallpaper nicely, you get a beautiful whole!

Wallpaper with flowers and butterflies

For a girl's room, floral wallpaper is a very nice choice. During the photoshoot for wallpaper brand Little Amour, I was allowed to style various floral wallpapers from the collection.

What I often notice during my nursery advice , is that parents find the choice for floral wallpaper quite exciting. Because such a print on the wall, doesn't that make the room very busy? I think it's great to convince you of the opposite in this blog article. Because a wallpaper with a (small) print, in this case with flowers and butterflies, really doesn't have to look busy in a nursery! I'm happy to explain to you what to look out for.

Tips for styling a girls room

The trick to calmly applying a wallpaper with a print lies in the combinations of colour and material in a room. By letting colours from the wallpaper reappear in the styling of a children's room, you create links that provide peace and balance. In this girls' room I worked with a colour palette of pink and yellow tones in the styling. You also see some grey tones, such as in the star cushion and the bed, which again make a nice link with the blue hue in the wallpaper. Also, don't be afraid to combine a wallpaper with a print with other prints, for example in bedding. In the styling of this room I even combined multiple prints with each other, and yet the whole remains calm and balanced. Even an extra floral print in the fitted sheet makes a very nice combination with the wallpaper here. Don't hesitate to mix, that will result in a very surprising and unique room.
