Girls room Julie

Sisters Julie and Livia got their very own attic room in their new home with their own children's bathroom. A dream for these two little girls! Both girls' rooms were to be decorated in a beautiful, quiet style, in keeping with the original 1930s elements of the completely renovated house.

Pink girls room with floral wallpaper

Before and during a major renovation, you have to make many choices in the field of interior. After her plans for the first two floors of their new house, Laura got stuck on the last project: the attic floor. The spacious floor would become the play and sleeping area for daughters Julie and Livia and had to radiate a stylish and dreamy atmosphere. It was my honor to help Laura with the choices that had to be made for paint colors, wallpaper, furniture and accessories. Together we created two cozy rooms for the girls. Rooms that matched each other in terms of color use and style but still turned out completely different.

Julie's room was given a soft pink tint on all walls and (sloping) ceilings. A choice that can be quite exciting, but the warm tint created the right atmosphere in the room and turned out great. On the long wall I advised a high 'paneling' with the Bibelotte Bloemenzee wallpaper. Because this wall has many sloping parts and is interrupted by beams, the straight wallpaper strip was a nice solution to keep this wall calm. We kept the soft pink base fresh with off-white accessories.

Practical children's room layout

The sloping roof sections required a creative layout. We came up with a cozy reading corner and a cozy play area with a play table under the window, where both sisters can sit together. Julie's bed, together with the beautiful canopy, became the center of the room. By combining all kinds of subtle flower prints with each other, both in the bedding and in cushions and accessories, a cozy atmosphere has been created and this room has become soft and girly.
