Boys room Eli
When Eli became a big brother, it was time to swap his nursery for a cool boy's room. His toddler room became a wonderfully quiet children's room full of his own things, beautiful furniture, soft paint colors and the nicest accessories.
Decorating a boy's room
With the arrival of baby brother Joa, Eli would move from the smallest bedroom to a beautiful spacious and light room at the front of the house. During a Mini Advice I was allowed to help Elise determine the color palette, the layout and the styling of the room. Elise: “I got a bit stuck in the choices we had to make for the room. Eli wanted green or blue in his room, but I was very afraid that the wrong color choices would make the room very cold. The room faces north and I thought it would be good to make a combination with warm colors. But it shouldn't get that beach house feeling ;)
When I also played with the idea of wallpapering a wall, I was afraid that it would all be very busy together. For Eli's nursery, I had also done a Mini Advice with Elina at the time and that had been so good! This time, we came up with some really nice ideas together. For example, I would never have come up with the idea to combine the wallpaper with a wainscoting and divide it over two walls. I would have just wallpapered one whole wall myself haha. But this turned out so incredibly nice! Much more atmospheric. I really needed some help to make decisions and make everything into a nice, coherent whole.”
Warm colours in the nursery
"Eli really likes everything in his new room! The wooden shelving unit next to his bed is a great success: sometimes he turns it into a farm and other times into a car wash. The open compartments in the wardrobe are also very nice: he can easily take books or toys out of them. And then he can play happily at his beautiful desk. I myself am very happy with the interplay of all the colours and materials in the room. I was very afraid of a cool room because of the incidence of light, but it has become a very nice warm room.”
